Swim City: Swimming school in the North East
Swim City is designed to teach all abilities. Our unique swim program is aimed at giving confidence whilst educating, developing skills and making your in water experience as enjoyable as possible.
We teach a range of skills to all of our pupils in and out of the pool. We keep our group lessons to a maximum of 3 children to 1 teacher (or 6-2) to make sure each pupil gets the attention they need to progress and improve their water skills.

Stacy Carlisle
Partner / Safe Guarding OfficerMy name is Stacy Carlisle and I am the joint owner of Swim City Swim School limited. I have over 13 years of swimming teaching experience in all levels of swim teaching including baby swimming and disability swimming. I was previously a swimmer for City of Sunderland Swim club and a graduate of Sports Development at Sunderland University, but my passion for swim teaching took over and I was lucky enough to set up Swim City with my brother in 2016 after years of working with some of the leading swim schools/club in my teaching career. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and here at Swim City our aim is to make that a reality, no matter how old or young, big or small my passion is to help people achieve a life skill and help you take that to the next level.

Liam Whiting
Level 2 TeacherMy name is Liam Whiting and I am manager and teacher of Swim City. I started swimming at Sunderland Swim Club at the age of 9 and it has played a big part in my life ever since. At the age of 16 I stopped swimming competitively and took the natural step in to completing my coaching and teaching badges. Since then I have gained experience teaching all ages and abilities from babies all the way to adults and competitive swimmers. After spells away from swimming and teaching to focus on developing my career in other areas, I was given the opportunity to combine both my passion for teaching and skills I gained in management to work at Swim City in 2019 and it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down! Watching our swimmers develop and gain confidence in water is very rewarding and I’m proud to be a part of that.
